HOLY LAND

This pilgrimage will be much more than a journey through historical sites. It will be a profound encounter with the Word of God made geography, an opportunity to walk along the paths where Jesus was born, grew up, taught, healed, loved, gave His life, and conquered death.

Our journey will begin by contemplating the history of salvation in the very places where it unfolded: Nazareth, where Mary gave her “yes” and where Saint Joseph obediently embraced his mission of protecting the Son of God; Bethlehem, where Jesus was born; Galilee, where He called His disciples, proclaimed the Kingdom, and performed His signs; and Jerusalem, where He experienced His Passion, death, and glorious Resurrection.

The figure of Saint Joseph will hold a special place throughout this experience. We will encounter him in Nazareth as a faithful husband, father, worker, and protector; in Bethlehem, caring for Mary and the Child; and in Jerusalem, as the righteous man who presented Jesus in the Temple and raised Him in the faith of Israel.

During the pilgrimage, we will renew our marriage vows in Cana and our baptismal promises by the Jordan River, meditate on the Beatitudes overlooking the Sea of Galilee, walk the Via Dolorosa, and celebrate the holy days of Holy Week in Jerusalem.

The heart of this journey will be to experience the Easter Triduum in the Holy City: remembering the Last Supper in the surroundings of Mount Zion, accompanying Jesus in Gethsemane, walking the Via Dolorosa to Calvary on Good Friday, and remaining in prayer on Holy Saturday as we await the joy of the Resurrection.

Each day will include spiritual accompaniment, moments of prayer, and Eucharistic celebrations at the main shrines, subject to schedules, permits, and confirmations from the Christian Information Center, the Custody of the Holy Land, and the religious authorities responsible for each site.

Itinerary

Day 1 – Friday, March 12 – Bogotá – Departure to the Holy Land

Arrival at Bogotá’s El Dorado International Airport at least four hours prior to departure in order to complete check-in, baggage drop-off, immigration, and security procedures. At 6:15 p.m., departure on Iberia flight IB152, bound for Madrid. The flight will be operated on an Airbus A350-900 and will have an approximate duration of 9 hours and 35 minutes. Overnight on board.

Day 2 – Saturday, March 13, 2027 – Madrid / Tel Aviv

Arrival at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport at 9:50 a.m., Terminal 4S. Approximate connecting time of 2 hours and 25 minutes. At 12:15 p.m., departure for Tel Aviv on flight IB7715, marketed by Iberia and operated by EL AL Israel Airlines. The flight will have an approximate duration of 4 hours and 40 minutes. Arrival at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport at 5:55 p.m. Reception and continuation with the services scheduled in the program. Accommodation in Tel Aviv and dinner.

Day 3 – Sunday, March 14, 2027 – Tel Aviv – Jaffa – Caesarea Maritima – Nazareth

A day connected with Saint Peter and the beginnings of the Church’s mission.

We will visit:

• Church of Saint Peter.
• Ancient Port of Jaffa.
• Historic streets.
• Traditional House of Simon the Tanner, subject to access.
• Viewpoint overlooking Tel Aviv.

We will continue to Caesarea Maritima, the ancient port city built by Herod the Great and a key location for understanding the expansion of Christianity.

We will visit:

• Roman Theatre.
• Remains of Herod’s harbor.
• Palace and archaeological area.
• Inscription related to Pontius Pilate.
• Roman aqueduct.
• Sites associated with Saint Peter, Cornelius, and Saint Paul.
• Transfer to Nazareth, hotel check-in, dinner, and overnight.

Possible Mass: Church of Saint Peter in Jaffa or an available shrine in Nazareth.

Day 4 – Monday, March 15

Nazareth: The Incarnation and the Life of the Holy Family

We will dedicate the day to Nazareth, the city where Mary received the message of the Angel, where Joseph protected and supported his family, and where Jesus lived His childhood, adolescence, and youth.

We will visit:

• Basilica of the Annunciation.
• Grotto of the Annunciation.
• Church of Saint Joseph.
• Crypt and archaeological remains associated with Joseph’s house or workshop.
• Franciscan archaeological area, if open.
• Mary of Nazareth International Center.
• Synagogue Church.
• Market and Old City.
• Mary’s Well.
• Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Gabriel.
• Mount of Precipice.

At the Church of Saint Joseph, we will offer a special prayer for fathers, workers, husbands, protectors of families, unemployed persons, and all those who carry great responsibilities within their homes. Dinner and overnight in Nazareth.

Day 5 – Tuesday, March 16

Cana of Galilee – Mount Tabor – Nain – Magdala

Departure for Cana of Galilee, where Jesus performed His first sign during a wedding celebration.

We will visit:

• Wedding Church of Cana.
• Traditional site of the first miracle.
• Renewal of marriage vows.
• Prayer for married couples, families, engaged couples, and those hoping to form a family.

We will continue to Mount Tabor, site of the Transfiguration.

We will visit:

• Basilica of the Transfiguration.
• Side chapels.
• Viewpoints overlooking the Jezreel Valley.
• Space for contemplation and prayer.

We will continue to Nain, where Jesus restored to life the son of a widowed mother.

We will visit:

• Church commemorating the resurrection of the widow’s son.
• Village of Nain.
• A moment of prayer for those who are grieving or have lost a loved one.

We will end the day in Magdala:

• Ancient first-century Jewish city.
• Synagogue dating from the time of Jesus.
• Magdala Stone.
• Duc in Altum Spiritual Center.
• Chapels dedicated to different Gospel events.
• Spaces dedicated to the dignity of women.
• Shore of the Sea of Galilee.

Day 6 – Wednesday, March 17

The Ministry of Jesus on the Sea of Galilee

We will enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, the setting of the calling of the first disciples, the calming of the storm, and many of Jesus’ teachings.

We will visit:

• Boat ride on the Sea of Galilee.
• Capernaum.
• House of Saint Peter.
• Church built over the remains of the house.
• Ancient synagogue.
• Tabgha.
• Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes.

We will visit:

• Bethsaida, associated with Peter, Andrew, and Philip, subject to access conditions.
• Kursi or Gerasa.
• Monastery associated with the casting out of demons and the herd of pigs.

• Site of Peter’s confession: “You are the Messiah.”
• Sources of the Jordan River.
• Banias Nature Reserve.

This date coincides with the Solemnity of Saint Joseph, so we will begin the day with a special Eucharistic celebration in his honor.

• Franciscan church, subject to schedule.

We will continue to Rosh Hanikra:

Commemoration of the Last Supper

In the morning, we will visit the sites on Mount Zion associated with the Last Supper, the institution of the Eucharist, Pentecost, Mary, and Peter’s denials.

We will visit:

• Abbey of the Dormition of Mary.
• Syriac Church of Saint Mark, subject to availability.
• Armenian Quarter.
• Cathedral of Saint James, subject to opening hours.
• Church of Saint Peter in Gallicantu.
• Ancient steps.
• Dungeons and areas associated with the detention of Jesus.
• Viewpoint overlooking the Kidron Valley.

In the afternoon, we will return to the hotel to rest and prepare for the liturgical celebration.

In the evening, we will participate in the Mass of the Lord’s Supper, including the washing of the feet and the commemoration of the institution of the Eucharist and the priesthood.

After the celebration, we will endeavor to hold a Holy Hour in Gethsemane or in a nearby church, spiritually accompanying Jesus during His agony.

Early dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Main Celebration: Mass of the Lord’s Supper at a Catholic church in Jerusalem. The Upper Room will be visited during the day, as private Masses are generally not celebrated there.

Day 15 – Good Friday, March 26

The Passion and Death of the Lord

Very early in the morning, we will enter the Old City to begin the journey of the Passion.

We will visit:

• Chapel of the Flagellation.
• Chapel of the Condemnation.
• Convent of the Sisters of Zion.

During the morning, we will tour biblical and Jewish Jerusalem.

We will also have time for silent prayer near the Holy Sepulchre, accompanying Mary and the disciples as they wait.

In the evening, we will participate in the Solemn Easter Vigil, the celebration of Light, the Word, Baptism, and the Eucharist.

Dinner or light meal according to the Vigil schedule. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Christ is Risen!

Participation in the solemn Easter Sunday celebration.

Subject to availability and schedules, we will endeavor to attend the Eucharist at:

Afterwards, we will have time to return to the Holy Sepulchre, pray before the empty tomb, and celebrate the joy of the Resurrection.

Departure for one of the sites associated with the encounter between the Risen Jesus and the disciples on the road to Emmaus.

One of the following alternatives will be visited, according to operational conditions:

• El Qubeibeh, subject to access conditions.

Celebration of a Thanksgiving Eucharist, remembering that Jesus makes Himself present in the Word, in the journey shared together, and in the breaking of the bread.

Afterwards, we will enjoy:

• Final view of Jerusalem.
• Transfer to Tel Aviv.
• Tour of the port and seafront promenade.
• Diamond Tour and visit to a center specializing in this industry.

At the scheduled time, transfer to Ben Gurion International Airport to complete departure procedures, immigration, and baggage check-in. At 6:30 p.m., departure for Madrid on Iberia Express flight IB1872, operated on an Airbus A321neo, with an approximate flight duration of 5 hours and 30 minutes.

Arrival at Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport at 11:00 p.m., Terminal 4S. Connecting time of 1 hour and 10 minutes before continuing the journey to Bogotá.

At 12:10 a.m. on April 1, departure from Madrid to Bogotá on Iberia flight IB155, operated on an Airbus A350. The flight will have an approximate duration of 10 hours and 30 minutes.

Arrival at Bogotá’s El Dorado International Airport at 3:40 a.m.
